Eyes shining of abundant grace
ears that hear your deepest pain hands to feel your hidden wounds pure lips to heal them His purest heart shed forth its blood to wash away foul reeking mud He’s journeyed the path where dwells fear to brighten your path, make frightful darkness clear But man’s eyes harbour darkening clouds pride and evil ways lay murky shrouds over eyes of those live to please other men, in pits of fire their labours shall cease For to this pit their steps do lead alas true love their hearts failed to heed God dwells above giving graciously lights and mercy their paths to lead on my path I’ve seen my Saviour thought not as face to face but through your precious labour you’ve touched my heart’s deepest place by kindness mirth and even sorrow through such bravely endured emotion I know a glimpse of His shining face, and my spirit dwells in part in Heavenly place and though we dwell in lands apart your love and deeds live in my heart though on dark unbalanced sand I travel glad I am that together our fates did ravel. |
